Land Acknowledgement
Life Sync Mental Health & Wellness acknowledges we work on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabe, and Haudenosaunee peoples. This land is part of the Haldimand Tract; the territory granted on October 25, 1784, to the Six Nations of the Grand River and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation in recognition of their alliance with the British during the American Revolution and the loss of their homelands in what is now Upstate New York. Of the original 950,000 acres (six miles on either side of the Grand River), only 46,000 acres remain Six Nations land and 6,100 acres remain Mississaugas of the Credit land.
