Hi there! I’m Sarah, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) Who Supports Children Age 4+, Youth/Teens, Adults, And Families. I am very passionate and experienced supporting those identifying as 2SLGBTQIA+ as well. My approach is relational, compassionate, empathetic, and rooted in attachment-based, trauma-informed, and psychodynamic modalities. With children, I use a variety of play-based approaches including toys, art, sand-tray, and games. I honour the holistic nature of the human experience, focusing on the interconnection of mind, body, and spirit, integrating your personal beliefs and traditions where relevant. I am committed to creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported as we work collaboratively to process past experiences and current life challenges. I am here to support you as we cultivate the strength and resilience already existing within you to move toward your unique goals at your own pace.
I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Theology: Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy, from Wilfrid Laurier University. I also hold am Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a Major in Cognitive Science, Minor in Psychology, and Minor in Buddhist Psychology and Mental Health from the University of Toronto. My background includes supporting children, youth/teens, and families in various community settings, and working with clients in clinical settings since June 2024.
In sessions with me, I intend to create a space where you feel safe to express your true authentic self. I focus on building trust and safety to support you in feeling and expressing your emotions with more clarity, developing skills for emotion regulation, and creating meaning in your life.
I am very passionate about supporting clients who struggle with emotion regulation, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and traits or diagnoses of BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) and/or CPTSD. I am continuing to deepen my work and learning in somatic practices as well.
Outside of the therapy room, I love to engage in activities that help to calm and ignite my spirit, including yoga, painting, reading, and spending time in nature!
If you feel we may be a good fit, I’d be honoured to connect with you! I welcome you to reach out for a consultation to explore your next steps together.
