Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)-Informed Skills

DBT‑informed therapy focuses on building emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. Originally developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan, DBT is widely used to support individuals who experience intense emotions, relationship challenges, or difficulty coping with stress.

DBT‑informed sessions at Life Sync Mental Health & Wellness integrate core DBT skills in a warm, supportive, and trauma‑informed way—without the rigidity of a full DBT program.

 

Who DBT Helps:

Adults and youth who experience emotional overwhelm, high stress, conflict in relationships, or difficulty managing big feelings.

 

Length of Treatment:

Flexible and tailored. DBT skills can be woven into ongoing therapy or used as a focused short‑term intervention.
